Development Director, Texas
The Development Director, Texas leads land, permits and partner agreements for the PacinfraX AI campus in South ERCOT, Texas, taking the campus from site control to construction start alongside our power, design and commercial teams.
About the role
You own the development path of our Texas AI campus: the land, the approvals, the local relationships and the schedule that lets on-site gas generation, battery storage and data halls start construction on time.
Who you work with
You work with our power systems engineer on the generation and storage path, our data center design lead on the hall, and our leadership on partner and customer agreements. Outside the company you are the face of PacinfraX for landowners, county officials, utilities and EPC partners in South Texas.
Responsibilities
- Lead land control, title work and site agreements for the South ERCOT campus and future Texas sites.
- Run the permitting program with county and state agencies, from pre-application meetings to approvals.
- Work with our power engineers on the gas supply, generation and storage path for each 10–50 MW block.
- Select and manage EPC partners and consultants with the design lead, against one schedule.
- Build relationships with local officials, utilities, landowners and the host community.
- Report development progress, risks and budget to leadership, and prepare the site for customer due diligence.
What you bring
- A track record leading large energy, industrial or data center developments from site control to construction start.
- Working knowledge of Texas land, permitting and local government processes.
- Confidence negotiating with landowners, utilities, agencies and contractors.
- Clear writing and the habit of keeping many workstreams on one schedule.
- Willingness to spend regular time on site in South Texas.
