AI data center guides for buyers and partners
Ten practical guides, written by the team that develops and operates the campuses, that take you from first question to signed requirement: how to choose between colocation, build-to-suit and powered shell, how to size 50 MW, how power-first development works and how to cool dense GPU racks. Each guide shows the steps, the checklists and the questions to ask any provider.
Buyer guides
Decide how to buy AI capacity
Start here if you are choosing between models, moving hardware or writing a requirement. These guides turn a capacity decision into steps you can assign to your team.
Colocation vs build-to-suit vs powered shell
Compare the four delivery models by who builds, who operates and how fast each moves. Use the decision table to match your megawatts and deadline to a model.

How to move your servers into colocation
An eight-step plan from requirement call to go-live, with an inventory template and a readiness checklist. Run old and new sites in parallel and cut over workload by workload.

How to write an RFP for AI capacity
Covers the eleven parts of an RFP, ten questions to ask and how to score responses.

Understand the engineering
These guides explain how capacity, power and cooling fit together, with the arithmetic shown so you can replace our example inputs with your own.
What 50 MW of AI capacity looks like
Convert megawatts to racks, halls and power equipment. See how blocks, halls and rows are organized and how a 50 MW requirement is phased.

Power-first data center development
How on-site generation, battery storage and a bridge to the grid energize a campus ahead of the utility queue. Includes four questions that test any developer.

Liquid cooling for AI data centers
Compare air, rear-door and direct-to-chip cooling and see the equipment each needs. Match the method to your hardware and put the right questions to a provider.

Read the markets we serve
Each market has its own power, land and permitting picture. These guides explain what matters when you place AI capacity in Vietnam or Texas.
Vietnam AI data center market
What buyers should know about power, land, connectivity and approvals when placing AI capacity in Vietnam. Read it with our four-site program in mind.

Texas data center power
How power works for large loads in Texas, from the grid operator to on-site generation. Learn where fuel, land and transmission come together for an AI campus.

Checklists and reference
Keep these open while you work. They are written to be copied into your own project documents.
Data center site selection checklist
Twelve criteria for landowners, EPC partners and buyers: power, fuel, land, water, fibre and permits. Score a site in an afternoon.

Pick a guide by your role
Match the row that describes you. Each path takes two guides and about twenty minutes, and every guide links onward to the next one you will need.
| If you are… | Start with | Then read |
|---|---|---|
| Buyer with a defined requirement | Write an RFP | Size your MW |
| Team with servers to relocate | Move into colocation | Check cooling |
| Buyer comparing delivery models | Compare models | Test the power path |
| Landowner or EPC partner | Use the checklist | Align terms |
How to use these guides
From reading to a requirement
- Read the model guide. Decide whether colocation, build-to-suit or powered shell fits your megawatts and deadline.
- Size your load. Use the 50 MW arithmetic with your own rack density and PUE.
- Check power and cooling. Confirm the power path and the cooling method your hardware needs.
- Write the requirement. Put the answers into an RFP so each provider bids on the same basis.
- Talk to us. Send the requirement through Request capacity; we reply within two business days.
Every guide ends with a short section on how PacinfraX approaches the topic, so you can see our method next to the general advice and judge it against other providers. If a guide leaves a question open, write to us and we will answer it directly.

FAQ
About these guides
Are these guides specific to PacinfraX?
They are written for any buyer, and each one ends with a short section on how PacinfraX approaches the topic. The method and checklists apply whichever provider you choose.
Can I copy the checklists and templates into my own documents?
Yes. The inventory table, the RFP guide and the site selection checklist are written to be reused. Adapt the inputs to your own requirement.
How current is the content?
Every guide shows its update date at the top. We review the guides when our services, campuses or industry practice change.
How do I choose between colocation and build-to-suit?
Start from your megawatts and deadline. Colocation is fastest for a defined cluster, and build-to-suit suits dedicated blocks of 10 MW or more. The model comparison guide includes a decision table you can apply to your own situation.
What should I bring to a first conversation with a provider?
Bring your load, timeline, preferred market, delivery model and cooling method. The RFP guide and the 50 MW sizing guide help you put numbers on each item before the call.
Who do I contact if I want a guide on another topic?
Write to [email protected] with the topic. If you want to discuss a requirement instead, use Request capacity and we reply within two business days.
Ready to put a number on your requirement?
Tell us your load, timeline and preferred market. We reply with the location, power path and block size that fit.
